Miles & Stockbridge P.C., a 200+ lawyer law firm with offices in the Washington-Baltimore region, is seeking a Litigation Support Manager in the downtown Baltimore, MD office. The Litigation Support Manager has overall responsibility for the consultative and operational activities for litigation support through a coordinated strategy involving Litigation Support, Practice Support professionals and paralegals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the Litigation Support team, ensuring the most appropriate tools and resources are being utilized to effectively support our clients.
Job responsibilities will include:
Consulting and collaborating with Litigation Support team members and case teams to ensure optimal case support for our clients.
Managing multiple electronic document review projects as the primary point of contact between attorneys and vendors. Provide eDiscovery consulting, including knowledge of ESI protocols and relevant civil rules of procedure.
Partnering with preferred e-discovery vendors and Information Technology staff to ensure system and software compatibility, utilization and performance.
Develop recommendations, plans, cost estimates, budgets, procedures and specifications for case-specific projects.
Provide consultation and project management services to case teams regarding database design and e-discovery workflow, including guidance on the use of technology assisted review (“TAR”) and data analytics.
The successful candidate must have Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of working in litigation support with two years in a supervisory role; An in depth knowledge of electronic discovery procedures, Sedona Principles and EDRM.; Experience in analyzing, configuring and implementing software including industry standard e-discovery litigation software packages; The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment and meticulous attention to detail; Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team and ability to lead, influence and motivate others.
