Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, P.C., the nation's largest law firm focused exclusively on matters specific to health care organizations, seeks a Financial Systems Analyst. This role reports to the Manager of Billing and Financial Analysis and is responsible for developing, reporting, interpreting, and
the implementation of financial data for planning and control. The Analyst is also responsible for the continual day-to-day operations and functionality of the Finance systems and applications.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Analyzes data to facilitate identifying and resolving problems
Maintains and upgrades financial systems applications
Ensures continuous operation and reliability of financial systems and applications
Provides technical and application support to Finance ensuring continuing operational quality
Develops custom analytics
Develops SQL language queries/reports as required to support Finance
Analyzes system performance discrepancies and recommends improvements
Maintains up-to-date system/process documentation and procedural guidelines
Works with and manages vendors, service providers, or consultants to help maintain systems and services, resolve support incidents, and complete projects
Participates on the project team for evaluation and implementation of new systems
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures and standards.
Understands accounting transaction workflows for troubleshooting and support.
Exhibits initiative and innovative thinking and drives best practices.
Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
Highly self-motivated and self-directed. Works independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of structured query language (SQL), and in-depth knowledge of financial, time entry, budgeting and cost recovery applications such as Elite Enterprise, Aderant Expert, Redwood BI, Chrome River, Clarity, Intapp Time, and Document Studio preferred.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelors’ Degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a finance role or related discipline with 5+ years of IT systems experience. Experience working in a law firm or professional services firm preferred.
