The Senior Accountant will support the Senior Manager and other Partner Relations group staff and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Firm processes and procedures and proper accounting and reporting of various partner matters in accordance with the Firm's partnership agreements. The individual will be responsible for supporting the onboarding and transition of partners to/from the Firm's partnerships.
Assist in managing the process and requirements for separating partners, including receipt of executed agreements and capital payments;
Assist in monitoring compliance with funding initial capital requirements. Provide monthly reports on status of open capital funding arrangements;
Manage the calculation, review, timing of taxation, and payment of guarantees associated with new lateral partners;
Create partner specific communications including separation agreements and offer letters from a document compilier software, (currently the HotDocs document management system);
Program and maintain templates in the HotDocs document management system as needed;
Identify additional applications of the HotDocs document management system to provide timely and more meaningful partner specific communications;
Create and maintain a summary of capital account (payout schedule) for separating partners;
Ensure timely and confidential payments to separating and transitioning partners throughout the Firm's world-wide locations;
Maintain data within Partner Dashboard, Partner Life Cycle and Partner Notes modules in the Financial Systems supported Partner Accounting System;
Maintain database of information in Excel relating to separating partners;
Provide periodic statistical reports relating to lateral and separating partners;
Reconcile and analyze general ledger transactions and accounts with partner draw statements;
Prepare reports from the general ledger system;
Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets;
Provide high quality and consistent customer service.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business degree from an accredited and approved college or university.
A minimum of three years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
Experienced staff accountant or auditor, preferably in a partner accounting area.
Demonstrated technical and analytical skills within his/her professional background.
