Summary of Position:
The Sr. Desktop Applications Engineer is responsible for the engineering of the workstation environment for Ogletree Deakins employees. The responsibilities include software packaging, operating system image management, group policy management, management of the Remote Desktop Services environment, and serving as the final tier of escalation for support issues. In addition to these responsibilities, the Sr. Desktop Applications Engineer is responsible for making build/buy recommendations to the Desktop Applications Manager and documentation/implementation of new technologies for the desktop applications group.

Management and administration of the Remote Desktop Services environment.
Implementation and documentation of desktop infrastructure upgrades.
Maintenance of core images for Windows 7 and RDS.
Packaging and deployment of applications via SCCM.
Group policy creation and management.
Testing and proof of concept for planned architecture upgrades in LAB or Development environments.
Resolution of support issues escalated by Desktop Analysts.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
10+ years’ experience in a technical position in support of a Windows PC environment.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
iManage 8.x\9.x experience preferred
Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE preferred
Expert knowledge and experience with desktop imaging processes, methods for streamlining desktop imaging and repairs, and systems to rollout images and applications, including updates, patches, and custom settings in the O/S and published applications.
Expert knowledge and experience with Windows operating systems and services: such as Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Remote Desktop Services and/or Citrix.
Expert knowledge and experience with packaging software through the use of WiseScript, Admin Studio, InstallShield and App-V solutions.
Expert knowledge and experience with VBScript, AutoIT, and PowerShell scripting languages.
Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012.
