The Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Specialist (Specialist) will work with the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) and the Director, Global D&I (Director) to prioritize, plan and implement the firm’s global diversity and inclusion programs and activities. Under the direction of the CDO and Director, the Specialist will work closely with the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, inclusion networks and business services leaders to advance, promote and achieve the firm’s D&I goals.
The Specialist will interact and network with the firm’s legal and business services employees worldwide and leverage these relationships in support of the firm’s D&I and business objectives. The Specialist will coordinate and execute programs that foster an inclusive environment at the firm. The Specialist will also work to enhance the firm’s external D&I profile and will play a significant role in preparing client and industry D&I survey submissions and will help to facilitate collaborations and partnerships with clients, alumni and various organizations that promote and support diversity. The Specialist must have a sincere interest in advancing diversity and inclusion at the firm and in the legal profession/industry.
Coordinate day-to-day operations of the firm’s D&I programs and activities, prioritizing action items and initiatives daily and maintain D&I calendars.
In collaboration with the HR Analytics & Reporting function track and report on demographics, trends and statistics at the firm and the legal industry.
Coordinate the firm’s response to external and internal surveys related to D&I, playing a key role in preparing and reviewing client and industry surveys and RFPs.
In collaboration with inclusion network leaders and members, conceptualize and organize inclusion network and firm-wide events, providing administrative and programmatic support, including meeting-planning, research, communication, and event planning.
In collaboration with the HR Analytics & Reporting function, develop metrics that measure the effectiveness of, and promote success of D&I programs as well as identify program gaps.
Regularly analyze D&I metrics and present findings and recommendations for program changes as appropriate, to the CDO, Director and D&I Committee.
Produce content for and maintain D&I communication materials, including D&I newsletter, intranet, website, brochures, etc.
Represent the firm at external events, meetings and conferences related to D&I.
Keep abreast of latest trends in D&I in law firms and other industries.
Develop D&I presentations using PowerPoint, Tableau and other data analytics as needed.
Collaborate with the legal and business services departments including Recruiting, HR and Marketing & BD within the firm to promote and implement D&I programs and initiatives.

Knowledge of inclusion efforts in the legal and/or professional services.
Education & Experience
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree a plus.
Preference to candidates with relevant law firm or professional services experience and a demonstrated interest in diversity and inclusion matters/initiatives.
Demonstrated experience, skill and comfort with data analysis and statistics strongly preferred.
