The Business Analyst II position provides technical solutions and business process improvements, primarily software-based, to internal and external clients according to the best industry practices and within agreed-upon time and budget requirements.
Collaborates with direct report and senior management to determine the scope and objectives of team projects and identifies project tasks, risks, timelines and resources
Analyzes business processes to assess potential areas for improvement and architects potential solutions based on the results of the assessments
Works with management to determine implementation strategy of new technologies and client solutions
Coordinates the development of plans, reports and proposals including but not limited to project plans, quality assurance plans, technical architectural requirements, RFPs, software development estimates and usage reports
Coaches internal and external business users responsible for managing and implementing process improvement initiatives
Engages and mentors junior team members
Demonstrates a deep understanding of firm technologies to internal and external clients and clearly envisions and articulates the value those technologies bring in efforts to improve current process and/or solve business problems
Functions as liaison between business users and software engineers and assists with functional requirements definitions
Analyzes business processes to develop and implement strategies for improvement
Participates in cross-functional Client Technology support activities
Develops end user training materials, operational policies and procedures related to day-to-day application functionality
Coordinates acceptance testing and in-house validation
Participates in proof-of-concepts involving emerging technologies, new trends and developments in the industry
Performs other duties as assigned

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach for other positions.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role.

Bachelor’s degree or university program certificate in business management, marketing and/or Computer science or related field preferred
Four to six years related experience and/or training as a Business Analyst; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience in Microsoft Office Programming, OneNote and other common web technologies
Proficiency in data gathering or reporting solutions a plus
Experience working for an international organization or in the legal sector a plus
