The Enterprise Applications Engineer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, operations, documentation, and validation of Enterprise applications running in the firm. This position will recommend, coordinate and implement upgrades and maintenance of the applications, application databases, and integration components of several software systems within the firm.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor all components of software systems assigned for performance and stability, including requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, integration and implementation.
Work with departments to identify appropriate software solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve software systems issues.
Define, analyze and execute diagnostic and update scripts to troubleshoot and/or address specific problems.
Develop and execute queries to mine information at the request of application administrator(s) or Firm Management.
Coordinate with the Infrastructure Team on backup and recovery strategies for all software systems assigned in accordance with Firm standards.
Work with the Infrastructure Team and Security to control and monitor access to the systems through the design and implementation of security measures.
Analyze updates and upgrades and make recommendations for implementation.
Interface with software manufacturers and other vendors, as appropriate, to resolve problems.
Keep abreast of planned changes to the supported systems and work with department heads and IT management to determine the appropriateness of the changes.
Provide support for assigned applications issues.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in enterprise level software implementation, engineering, and administration.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Windows Server Environment.
A minimum of 5 years of SQL Server experience.
