Perkins Coie LLP is looking for a strategic, dynamic leader to oversee the firm’s Chicago and Madison offices. This position will be located in Chicago office and will work closely with the Office Managing Partners to direct all administrative functions of the Chicago and Madison offices including strategic planning, financial planning and control, human resource administration, leasing, space planning, operations and facilities management and other key functions of the office.
The Regional Director of Administration will be responsible for the following:
Develop and implement the annual office business and visibility plans.
Align and streamline the offices’ functions with the firm’s Strategic Plan.
Direct and implement annual office operating, capital and project budgets.
Oversee all office accounting functions and act as a liaison to the Finance and Audit departments.
Collaborate with the Professional Standards department to administer office liability insurance programs.
Manage the local offices’ Business Continuity Plan and Emergency Response Plan.
Oversee recruitment of office staff positions and manage the office performance and salary review process as well as employee relations.
Serve as the key liaison to all headquarters departments in support of those functions in the local offices.
A qualified candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills including adept problem solving, planning and decision-making skills in a highly-matrixed organization. They will be skilled in business and people management and have the ability to motivate and develop staff. Must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of firm personnel and external vendors. Thorough ability to analyze complex circumstances and situations and apply sound judgment is required.
Requires a BA in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible office management experience including two years of legal industry management experience, or equivalent.
