The Business Applications Developer works with internal Firm clients to develop, support and enhance new and existing business applications. The individual must have experience with all stages of the software development life-cycle, including requirements gathering, technical design and analysis, database design, code development, testing, debugging, deployment, and post-deployment support. Must feel comfortable multi-tasking and working in an atmosphere where they will assume diverse technical and client-interaction responsibilities. The individual must recognize the value of following technical standards and best practices, and function as a team-player.
Develop custom applications using the .NET Framework, with responsibilities throughout the project life-cycle.
Evaluate and utilize third-party API’s , components and systems.
Administer, customize, and develop Web Parts for the Firm’s SharePoint intranet systems, as needed.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers working in the Firm’s administrative departments.
Proactively recognize opportunities for improving Firm processes to facilitate more efficient and effective technical solutions.
Help maintain technical documentation as per IS Department standards.
Troubleshoot and support existing systems.
Develop custom reports using SSRS and third party applications.
Adhere to the existing IS Department standards and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Computer Science or related college degree; or Microsoft developer certifications (a plus)
Candidate must have 3-5 years of hand-on experience with SharePoint:
SharePoint farm and site configuration and administration.
SharePoint-2013 or above – power user experience.
Designing and implementing site definitions, site templates.
Custom master pages, CSS(3), Bootstrap
User profiles, BCS, security models, and audiences.
Intermediate knowledge of relational database including Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (TSQL, SQL).
Exposure to Nintex workflow is a plus.
Exposure to Handshake is a plus.
Experience using TFS - source code control system.
Strong analysis skills and ability to use third party API’s and components.
Strong desktop and web application troubleshooting skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong team player.
Able to work individually with minimal guidance.
Able to write and maintain technical documentation.
