We are seeking a Legal Recruitment Assistant for our New York office. This position will work closely with other members of the Recruitment and Human Resources teams, as well as colleagues in our London, Hong Kong and other overseas offices.
Primary responsibilities include:
assisting with all aspects of law student, entry-level and lateral associate recruitment
summer associate program planning and implementation
assisting with the coordination of lateral partner interviews
communicating with law schools, recruiters and candidates
Responsibilities also include assisting with day and evening events and candidate interviews; screening resumes; data entry and maintaining candidate records; tracking recruitment statistics; assisting with on-boarding of new hires; and providing generalist Human Resources administrative support to the practice. We are a small team supporting our global U.S. practice; an interest in working at a global firm is key, as is the ability to work with individuals across all levels of seniority at the firm. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a self-starter who is reliable, eager for responsibility and able to work independently. Strong written and spoken communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and multi-task effectively are a must, as are good judgment, a professional demeanor and the ability to act with discretion. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are also important for this role.
Job requirements: At least one year of experience in legal recruitment. Working knowledge of Excel and familiarity with applicant tracking systems and/or other HR people systems such as VI, Lawcruit, Workday. This role will require significant overtime, as well as some domestic and overseas travel, at various points in the year.
