Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP is a mid-sized Chicago Loop law firm seeking a Systems Analyst. Systems Analyst is responsible for first and second level tier support for all Firm’s standard software and hardware. Provides effective evaluation of end-user needs. Good judgment and timeliness in response is imperative. System Analyst will spend at least 5 hours daily working on-the phone, log end-user calls, trouble-shoot end-user problems and provide detailed information and update assets management information in the Help Desk ticketing system.
Specific Duties Include:
Log end-user calls to the Help Desk ticketing system together with the information about resolution of each case.
Provide technical support to end-users on all Firm’s hardware and software.
Trouble-shoot end-user problems and provide detailed information; when necessary re-assign tickets to the higher level of support.
Update asset management information in the Help Desk ticketing system.
Under the direction of IT Leadership, install, support and maintain one (or several) of the hardware/software solutions.
Train and support users on specialized software products for use in various Firm service and practice groups.
Work together with the Application Development Manager on customization and integration of Firm word processing tools in order to achieve better efficiency for Firm users.
Work on special projects as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar preferred
5 plus years experience providing technical support in a professional services firm environment required; law firm experience preferred
Must have or working towards all of the following certifications: Word Microsoft Office 2007 - 2016, Outlook Microsoft Office 2007 - 2016, A+ certification and/or MCP (Windows 7-10)
Knowledge of basic networking technologies and basic MS Windows system administration
Excellent communication skills
