Our law firm is seeking a motivated and organized individual for a newly created role within our Information Technology (IT) department. The Asset and Audit Specialist is a position that will have the opportunity to get involved in projects with all members of our IT department, while reporting directly to our Director of IT Operations. We are seeking a self-starter with strong attention to detail who has asset management interest and/or experience and is analytical by nature. We value attitude and aptitude most when making the hiring decision for this new role as candidates with hardened IT skills may find themselves unchallenged by the duties defined below.
The Asset and Audit Specialist will have the following responsibilities, although the responsibilities will change and grow to meet the needs of the IT department:
Asset Management: Maintain technology asset management database, including creating and executing reports; audit and report on software usage and hardware needs; perform yearly inventory of physical and electronic asset inventories.
Security Auditing: Assist Information Security Officer with security reporting, documentation, and responses to security questionnaires.
Department Administration: Assist with accounts payable processes, budget planning and reconciliation, and adherence to internal service level agreements.
Vendor and License Management: Update information for centralized firm contract management software; monitor contractual obligations and license renewals and communicate regarding upcoming deadlines.
Additional Duties: Assist as needed with employee onboarding and off boarding, event and meeting scheduling, and update of additional IT databases and reports.
The successful candidate will be organized, professional in demeanor, and possess the ability and confidence to seek out opportunities as work begins to ebb. Candidates who are experienced in physical and electronic asset management, auditing, and general reconciliation tasks are preferred. Strong Excel skills, knowledge of IT verbiage, experience within a finance or IT department, and having the ability to travel a few times a year are all required for this role.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and dynamic administrative department within a large law firm to assist the IT department in a variety of areas and interact with many different IT professionals.
