Technology & Information Services is the department that is responsible for the Firm's database systems, business intelligence systems, and systems integrations. The Senior Application Solutions Analyst, under the direction of the Senior Manager of Applications Development, is responsible for documenting business processes, facilitating process improvement, improving effective software feature utilization, business solutions design, implementation, and support of the Firm’s technology systems.
In this position, the employee must meet annual security education training and awareness (SETA) requirements. The employee must also assure that information created, acquired or maintained in performance of job duties is used in accordance with its intended purpose – to protect Troutman Sanders information and its infrastructure from external or internal threats – and to assure that the employee complies with Firm Policy requirements regarding information access, classification, security and privacy.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides application management, implementation, and support services for firm technology systems.
Takes the lead in systems data quality, application based solution development and resolving system issues for supported applications, working with engineers, developers, and database administrators.
Adheres to Troutman Sanders development team standards and processes.
Develops standardized business process documentation to help with needs analysis and identifying opportunities for training or process automation.
Utilizes IntApp Flow/Integrate, Microsoft SharePoint, and other tools to automate business operations and improve work production, collaboration, and system efficiencies.
Utilizes various technologies to present consolidated views of data from across multiple systems.
Develops operational procedures and documentation for firm systems.
Provides second level technical support for firm technology systems, including support for desktop applications, IntApp enterprise applications, and document management system.
Participates in project planning activities for the Firm.
Continues to develop skills, knowledge and ability to improve processes and procedures as well as to keep updated on trends and developments in the industry and in legal practice. This includes meeting annual personal development goals.
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
Conduct research into software application products and services in support of development and purchasing efforts.
Provide support for the testing of new and existing software applications under development or consideration for purchase.
Four to five years application support and implementation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two or more years of experience developing solutions with high level tools, such as IntApp Flow and/or IntApp Integrate.
Experience administering and maintaining IntApp Open (Terms, Conflicts, Intake, etc.) preferred.
Must be experienced with Microsoft server and desktop OS support.
Strong knowledge of integrated systems and enterprise software environments and architectures.
Proven ability to diagnose and solve problems within complex and highly integrated enterprise applications, either by working with third party vendors or using appropriate tools and techniques.
Familiarity with the products and services generally available in the computer industry, with particular emphasis on those related to the Legal industry.
Good understanding of relational data structures and SQL.
Position requires the ability to develop working relationships and experience in client-service delivery.
Able to work as part and in support of a team.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills.
Familiarity with Aderant (CMS) and legal industry software highly desirable.
Must have the ability to analyze technology and business process issues and implement solutions.
Must be able to assist in developing the strategic plan of the Firm’s technology systems.
Ability to work extended work day with little notice.
