Assists the IT department in the administration of local area computer network activities by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs;
Responsible for firm wide backup and design recovery including but not limited to data, security, configuration and active directory;
Configures desktop software for deployment to workstations;
Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security;
Maintains Microsoft WSUS/server for centralized software updates
Perform image capture and installation of desktop and laptop systems utilizing imaging software including Windows Deployment Services and IBM Think Vantage;
Monitors and administers the network, keeping system information up to date in a network log;
Responsible for maintaining and administering Group Policy Objects in Microsoft Active Directory;
Installation and maintenance of virtual desktop and server environment
Responsible for building and deploying Windows 10 desktops utilizing Microsoft SCCM;
Knowledgeable regarding security protocols;
Responsible for product and project documentation;
User account administration including setup, user rights, distribution groups and security groups;
Part of team that rotates on-call 7/24 support;
Setup and breakdown Audio/Video equipment including, but not limited to, laptops, projectors and screens.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) From a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
None are required, but should be in pursuit of a professional certification.
