ILTA is looking for a talented Manager of Local Events and Education to help develop and execute the strategic vision for local meetings and networking events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning and organizing events in multiple regions. They will work closely with and lead a diverse group of members, member volunteers, business partners and ILTA staff to develop and implement local programming, measure the success and adjust the programs as necessary to meet members needs. The Manager of Local Events and Education will know how to quickly identify potential local event opportunities and member challenges and develop educational programs in response. They should be an excellent communicator, comfortable communicating to both large groups and individuals. The successful candidate will have experience building and maintaining highly-engaged programs. An understanding of legal technology is a plus.
Duties will include:
Creating a Local Engagement Experience
Develop strategies for local member engagement for all segments of ILTA membership.
Create road mapped content for local meetings, events and webinars.
Recruit speakers and subject matter experts for events.
Organize social networking events in regional areas.
Create new opportunities for members such as one-day events, focused on a particular segment.
Develop a peer networking program for ILTA members.
Work alongside member volunteer groups to develop programs.
Overseeing local event marketing
Monitor and adjust email schedule to ensure prompt messaging.
Work with marketing to ensure local meetings are being promoted effectively.
Maintain websites with up-to-date agenda and speaker information, venue details, and sponsorship information.
Research potential partners for cross-promotion.
Conduct evaluations of events.
Track satisfaction metrics and attendance numbers
Work with partners to support local event opportunities
On-Site Event Management
Work with Member volunteers in local areas on meeting logistics
Manage logistics with event venue, act as primary POC for logistics as necessary
Requirements and Skills Needed:
A minimum of five years of demonstrated competency in managing others.
Strategic and creative abilities to think outside-the-box about local events.
Skilled at working with different sponsor groups.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Strong customer service and team building skills.
An ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
This is a full-time exempt position
