Greenberg Traurig has an opening in its Philadelphia, PA location for a business immigration paralegal. This individual will work alongside an attorney based in the Philadelphia office as well as with our practice group’s primary team (located in Virginia) on several large and active corporate accounts, servicing their employment-based immigration workforce. S/he will also handle discrete matters as needed on a case-by-case basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage a docket of employment-based immigration cases and prepare petitions for attorney review.
Track deadlines and expiration dates; maintain databases.
Review incoming documents and notify attorneys of potential issues.
Respond to client and foreign national inquiries.
Draft correspondence and forms; assemble filings.
Provide administrative support to the assigned accounts.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified candidates will ideally have a minimum of 2 years preparing employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas and related processes (i.e., H, L, TN, O visas, PERM, I-140s, adjustment of status, consular processing, employment authorization documents, etc.) However, we will consider less experienced candidates where there is a good fit.
The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter, works well with others, has a can-do attitude, asks questions, tackles issues head-on and is intellectually curious. S/he must be detail oriented and exhibit excellent organizational skills and superior writing ability. Excellent computer skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Prior experience with INSZoom preferred, but not required.
