The Marketing Web Technology Coordinator will be responsible for posting a range of marketing web content. This includes working with the marketing content group and other members of the marketing team on formatting and posting content for the firm’s website including Client Alerts, webcasts, lawyer bios, practice group materials, images and other web content. The position will coordinate website issues and enhancements with backend technical teams and translate technical issues to marketing team.
This position is responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the web content provided by firm departments in addition to acting as a technical expert for the Firm’s website which uses WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS). The position will serve as the Marketing Department’s first line of resource/support center for the firm’s marketing and other web content.
The position should have a strong customer focus, very responsive to user requests, team player, great attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with firm personnel.
This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. The position works directly with all members of the Marketing Department in addition to other departments firm wide.
Posting of web content, internal and external in an accurate and timely fashion; handle occasional after hours content posting
Troubleshoot bugs and work with vendor, coordinate data and software issues and enhancements with internal IS and HR Departments and outside vendor
Load and organize webcast content on Vimeo
Post web content to Twitter
Monitor web traffic using Google Analytics
Assist with formatting and distribution of publications via email. Convert MS Word content to HTML
Support the global Business Development and Marketing team by promoting consistent e-marketing system practices. Suggest improvements to related processes
Handle other duties or projects as may be assigned by Business Development and Marketing leadership
3-5 years of experience in marketing technology in a legal, professional services or corporate environment, including experience with web editing and content management systems
Experience in all aspects of web technology, SEO and content management, as well as email communications
Familiarity with WordPress, Vimeo, SharePoint, Dreamweaver or a text editor such as Brackets; Tikit eMarketing and Interaction CRM experience is a plus
Strong HTML and CSS knowledge for formatting and troubleshooting content
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Technical Knowledge: Background knowledge of InterAction and Tikit is required. Proficiency in MS Office; particularly Word, Excel and Outlook, Access knowledge is a plus. Must have HTML experience.
Research Skills: Ability to diagnose web issues to fix or refer to technical team to resolve.
Organizational Skills: The candidate must have strong organizational skills. Ability to coordinate tasks with other team members, track and manage tasks is key to success. Must exhibit grace under pressure.
Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of lawyers, secretaries, marketing and other support staff. Requires diplomacy, facilitation skills and the ability to manage conflict.
Judgment and Reasoning: Excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability is required. Must grasp business process, priorities and goals. Must understand basic business relationship and confidentiality principles and adhere to those principles.
