Lewis Rice LLC, a large downtown law firm, is seeking a full time Windows System Administrator. The Windows System Administrator’s role is to ensure the daily operation of server and storage systems that support the Lewis Rice business missions by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all Windows server, workstations and associated systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration of Microsoft Server, SQL, and Exchange 2016
Administration and troubleshooting of MS Active Directory, GPOs, and related MS technologies, including WSUS and SCCM.
Administration and troubleshooting of Windows server systems, TCP/IP WAN network and related technologies
Administration of server systems backups utilizing Veeam software
Design and implement new technologies
Research, development and maintenance of server security in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
Research and development/testing of new software and hardware
Periodic “Disaster Recovery” drills during non-business hours
Evaluate, design and architect server system solutions to meet business requirements
Create and maintain appropriate policies and documentation
Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, and 2016, WSUS, SCCM, and active directory required. Knowledge of basic server security and system health monitoring (Windows, Linux/Unix) is also preferred. This position requires the ability to identify and analyze complex issues and implement solutions. Previous experience working in Microsoft server, Microsoft exchange email systems, MS Active Directory, GPOs and related technologies as well as excellent phone and communication skills are also required. Furthermore, successful candidates should be interested in expanding their knowledge of the above programs and/or other specialized IT products with ongoing training required.
