The Technical Trainer, under the direction of the Training Supervisor, is responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs to ensure staff and attorneys possess relevant skills, resources and information needed to operate efficiently and effectively. The Technical Trainer develops training materials to be used in new hire training, software rollouts, device deployments, and daily operations.
Deliver technical training via face to face, e-learning, and remotely, in 1-on-1, small to large group, and virtual settings
Deliver applications training to new employees on a weekly basis
Produce professional-quality documentation and learning collateral (Videos, Reference Guides, Presentations)
Maintain and update all relevant training material
The Technical Trainer will not be responsible for supervision of any staff.
3+ years of software training experience, preferably in a law firm environment
Four-year Bachelor degree desired
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010/2016/365 with emphasis in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Knowledge of Windows 7/10
Knowledge of iManage FileSite/Work or similar DMS (Document Management System)
Strong technical skills with an understanding of legal applications such as Nuance, Adobe Pro, Change-Pro, Legal55, Chrome River, Intapp Open, Box, AirWatch, and WebEx
Knowledge of learning and development tools including SnagIt, Camtasia, Captivate, Articulate, or similar
Familiarity with Mac OS, MacBook and iPad operations
Familiarity with mobile device operations and support on iOS & Android platforms
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to test new products, critique and suggest changes when applicable

Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to execute multiple projects concurrently, quickly and efficiently, and prioritize workloads while maintaining project deadlines

Ability to adapt training techniques to accommodate varying levels of learning and technical ability among a wide variety of personalities
Flexibility to work late evenings, early mornings, or irregular hours to complete projects or provide training as needed
Willing to travel to regional offices both local and out of state
Knowledge of law firm practices and procedures
Knowledge of adult learning principles, training techniques and current trends
The Technical Trainer reports to the Technical Training Supervisor.
The Technical Trainer will maintain office hours totaling at least 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday, although he/she
will be expected to work additional hours as required. Flexibility with working hours may also be required.
