The IP Practice Group Business Administrator will administer, implement, and/or coordinate tactical and sometimes strategic support for selected firm practice and subgroups.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Partnering with PG Business Manager to develop, implement, and update general administrative practices and procedures across the practice group.
Working closely with PG Business Manager to monitor the progress of practice group business plans on a routine basis.
Providing practice and/or subgroup-specific subject-matter expertise on projects or initiatives.
Developing, modeling, and analyzing various fee and pricing options specific to practice group matter management and portfolio strategy.
Conducting moderately complex financial and statistical analysis to help inform PG leadership decisions.
Planning, executing, and guiding practice and subgroup-specific committee meetings and calls.

Highly-proficient in data analysis using moderate and advanced Excel functions.
Proficiency working with web-based systems to extract as well as input information.

Highly self-motivated and self-directed, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively to business and technical stakeholders around the firm.
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Strong technical skills.

Education & Experience:
Requires a BA Degree and 5+ years Law Firm or Professional Services experience. Accounting/financial professional experience, technology and/or intellectual property, litigation or contracting experience a plus.
