Reporting to the Manager of Network Operations, the Network Administrator is a junior level position related to the day-to-day support and operation of Nixon Peabody’s global network and computing environment.

•Assist with configuration and tuning for a global reaching network •Contribute to the maintenance of network enhancing technologies (Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Riverbed WAN optimization, Cisco ISE, etc.) •Maintain maintenance windows based on customer needs, best practices and industry proven methodology •Build strong, positive relationships with internal team members: Engineering, Operations, and Development •Participate in the infrastructure on-call after-hours coverage on a rotating shift basis •Recommend System enhancements for optimum efficiency •Support helpdesk escalation requests, including being “on-call” for after-hours infrastructure support
•2-3 years of IT administration and support experience preferred •Experience with Cisco switching and routing including configuration and troubleshooting •Experience with Cisco Meraki wireless configuration •Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues •Some programming/scripting experience (for example: PowerShell, Python) •Fast learner who works well in a dynamic team environment •Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines •Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal •Detail-oriented with solid skills in technical documentation •Certifications in Network technologies preferred (CCNA, CNA, Network+)
