Reporting to the Senior IT Service Manager, the Audio/Visual Support Supervisor is the lead for the AV Support team, a sub-group of the IT Service team, and supervises the Audio/Visual Support Specialists including performing annual performance reviews. The key to this position is the ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with the attorneys, management and staff, and to maintain ownership of the work from start to finish.
Manage all aspects of audio/visual equipment and other related functions.
Handle special A/V projects as assigned by firm management, such as events setup, recording and editing.
Provide investigation and diagnosis of incidents related to audio/visual issues and works with the AV Support team and vendors to maintain the AV systems and ensure continual operation.
Oversee the daily schedule of all audio visual setups and ensures that setups are staffed with assistance of IT Support Analysts.
Act as liaison for the Facilities department and the Professional Development department.
Record activities in the firm ticketing system.
Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by the Senior IT Service Manager or other firm leaders.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
The ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with internal and external clients.
Able to work with a variety of videoconferencing equipment, computer desktop and notebook hardware, including laser printers, flat panel monitors, cabling and connectors for networking and peripherals.
Experience with MS Office applications, conference room scheduling software and other management software.
Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential information in a discreet and secure manner.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Advanced knowledge of video editing.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and support new technologies.
Must have a “can-do” work style and follow-through skills.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
The ability to work a flexible schedule (sometimes on short notice) including overtime, early mornings, evening and weekends as necessary to meet client and firm needs.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience in an audio/visual and/or computer service role working directly with end-users, and 4+ years’ experience in using computer hardware and software focusing on Microsoft technologies. The candidate will also have knowledge of Tandberg videoconferencing equipment, videoconferencing bridging and remote meeting technologies. Supervisor experience is a plus.
