The primary role of the RISC Librarian is to provide research assistance and bibliographic instruction, and oversee the law school’s digital repository.
Essential Job Functions
Provides reference and research services.
Participates in the library’s faculty liaison program.
Serves as the liaison to the law school’s online programs.
Oversees the library’s virtual reference program.
Provides research instruction to groups and classes.
Creates instructional videos on research resources and research techniques.
Creates research guides.
Develops and oversees the law school’s institutional repository.
Studies the law school’s scholarly impact and reports findings.
Works with various departments to promote the scholarship of the law school’s authors.
Manages and ensures access to the library’s electronic resources and troubleshoots technical problems.
Oversees communication of updates to library policies and services to the Law School community.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of the Law Library.

Strong service ethic and excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to successfully interact with constituencies within the law school at various levels of authority and responsibility, as well as members of the public.

Excellent planning, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of and familiarity with legal materials and research methods.
Knowledge of and familiarity with various online databases and library related systems.
Expertise and interest in research methods for business law strongly preferred.
Must be willing to work Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
