Akerman LLP, a leading U.S. law firm, is seeking a User Support Technician for its National Information Technology Department in Maitland, FL. This position will provide front line remote support and guidance to end-users of the Firm's computer and telephone systems. The incumbent will provide remote technology support to firm users in all offices, resolve assigned help desk issues, monitor support queues, evaluate trends on malfunctions/errors, provide assistance on testing new software and provide support for roll-outs. We require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. This position works in a fast-paced, team environment, requiring strong verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer and software trouble shooting skills and customer service are required. The ability to work independently and manage time and tasks in a productive team environment are essential. The candidate must be flexible to work after-hours support in the evening, weekends and holidays, as needed. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office 2016 (especially Word 2016), Windows 10, and LAN Technology are required. Must also have a working knowledge with printers, smartphone and tablets, and general software applications support. Experience in a large law firm setting is desired.
