Saiber LLC, a New Jersey based general practice law firm, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide day-to-day front line, on-premises support to end-users of the firm’s full scope of information technology, including, but not limited to, desktop hardware and applications, mobile devices and remote connectivity, and telecommunications. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience effectively resolving user problems with hardware and software and maintaining desktop systems in a pc/LAN environment with 30 or more users.
Provides day-to-day service from help desk by responding to requests for guidance, assistance and/or problem-solving for IT hardware, software and telecommunications issues.
Provides professional level of customer service.
Installs, re-installs, maintains and/or moves user workstation hardware and peripherals.
Installs, configures and maintains personal computers; customizes configurations according to end-user needs.
Performs maintenance and upgrades on personal computers and laptops.
Configures users’ personal mobile devices for email.
Installs and configures connectivity software for remote access.
Assists with connectivity issues related to remote access and two-factor authentication.
Assists with lower level network tasks including connectivity and network printers; creates new accounts.
Sets up conference room technology, including audio and video equipment; assists with connectivity through video conferencing software.
Maintains and tracks inventory of deployment-ready personal computers and laptops; makes inventory recommendations.
Suggests and provides or assists with training and instruction for system users on hardware, operating system and applications.
Assists with the overall secure, productive, stable and efficient operations of the Firm’s technology systems and equipment.
Maintains confidentiality, privacy and security of information/data being processed, stored or accessed by the Firm’s end-users and all client and business matters.
Provides other job-related duties as assigned.
Advanced experience and ability resolving user problems associated with: Active Directory, Windows 8 and later, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, networked document management system, Adobe Acrobat and remote and wireless connectivity; personal computing hardware, including, desktop computers, laptops, printers and peripheral devices; mobile devices and applications.
Ability to assist with lower level network tasks including connectivity and network printers.
Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity issues and ability to support and help manage endpoint protection on workstations.
Advanced customer service skills, including ability to communicate effectively to users of varying levels of technical ability and to establish and maintain user trust and confidence.
Ability to learn quickly and establish a working knowledge of new or unfamiliar hardware and software that are part of the suite of firm’s user tools.
Commitment to and ability to maintain strong ethical and confidentiality requirements.
Ability to pass criminal background check.
Experience with Worldox, Citrix, Workshare Compare and Workshare Connect a plus.
Three or more years of concentrated Desktop Support experience in a pc/LAN environment with 30 or more users; law firm, a plus.
This is a full-time, on-premises position. Secure remote access to firm systems will be required at times. Must be able to drive to firm’s other offices when needed.
