The IT manager is responsible for ILTA’s technology processes and solutions to ensure they support ILTA’s organizational goals. The IT manager provides strategic guidance to the organization’s portfolio of technology projects and manages priorities, critical resources and technology life spans. They ensure consistency with the organization’s mission and strategic goals through both a return on investment via budget management and ILTA citizen (i.e. members, business partners and staff) satisfaction with technologies.
Troubleshoots issues for root cause identification to determine corrective next steps.
Effectively selects, implements and provides ongoing support of the association's information technology processes and systems.
Identifies and integrates new technologies for the association, both internal (staff) and external (member-facing).
Plans and oversees strategies for management of hardware and software, including mobile devices and technology upgrade paths.
Develops directives for the standardization of the ILTA Virtual Office, including the creation of inventory controls, management of minimum hardware and software specifications, as well as the continued deployment of latest patches and software releases, all in support of a ubiquitous and device-agnostic environment.
Conducts end-user training and support to ensure people and technology are “ILTA compliant.”
Creates documentation and reference materials to support the internal technologies currently deployed.
Establishes and builds relationships with vendors in conjunction with the implementation of internal and external technologies. Responsible for capacity planning and scheduling vendor negotiations related to IT.
Anticipates future technology needs and proactively identifies solutions.
Directs and participates in the implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives, including the development of a full scope plan outlining and ranking the organizational processes, hardware, and software recovery procedures, and suggested communication strategies for managing short- and long-term disruptions.
Supervises initiatives to build and deploy the latest technologies for the members’ online experiences within the association management software and supplementary programs.
Oversees all IT-related purchasing and budget usage; works with VP of Operations to develop budgets.
Addresses and resolves billing issues with technology vendors.
Proactively maintains a lean applications environment.
Reinforces team approach on member-facing projects and internal technology initiatives.
Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organization.
Communicates effectively with citizens to identify needs and evaluate business solutions and strategies relative to technology initiatives.
Continually develops ways to increase citizen satisfaction with processes and systems.
Values and nurtures member and staff relationships.
Reports to the VP of Operations.
Supervise the technology department team members.
Maintains relationships with Senior Leadership Team members along with other key stakeholders within the organization.
Maintains constructive relationships with both members and business partners of ILTA to ensure maximum value for their experience.
Represents the organization externally, as necessary, particularly with contracted business partners.
Effectively communicates ILTA’s technology direction with all citizens.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience working in IT operations.
Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
Experience managing department or organization budgets.
Travel as needed.
Telecommuting is allowed.
