Working closely with the director of products liability, analyzes and maintains financial information and prepares metrics and reports relating to financial, operational, and billing activities for the products liability practice group.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Process ad hoc reports requested by the director and shareholders
Prepare standard monthly metric and financial reports as directed by the director
Maintain and have ownership of metrics and reporting for accuracy and timeliness
Suggest trends, take-aways, and assumptions from analytics
Track key performance indicators specific to the products liability group
Organize vendor agreements, trial contracts and documents, in efforts of efficiency
Conduct comparative statistical analysis on data
Create presentation material for product liability meetings, both internal and external
Maintain and upload documents and reference tools to internal databases and sites
Answer general practice group administration questions for attorneys and staff
Assist with various administrative tasks within product liability as needed

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk from work station, to desk or to go to various offices to retrieve assignments. This position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of time.
Requires manual dexterity to dial a telephone, enter data into a computer, handle objects and operate tools
Some filing is required and this would entail the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
College degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience of general accounting from a legal or service-related industry
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook are required.
Preferred fundamental knowledge of databases and Adherent legal software
Flexibility to work overtime
