Buckingham is seeking an experienced Training & Application Specialist to conduct informative training sessions, promote company efficiency, assist with system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and improve the technology skills of all personnel. You will do so by leading an in-house software training program, overseeing the Firm’s document management system, and assisting with installation of software upgrades. Further, you will work with a team of technology professionals at the Firm to provide support to all end-users.

Collaborate with management to identify firm training needs.
Schedule appropriate training sessions and manage the training calendar.
Plan, implement and communicate an effective training curriculum.
Expand the training program by seeking new applications for software and develop training materials for them.
Read reference materials and appropriate periodicals to stay up-to-date on software enhancements and applications.
Oversee the firm’s document management system, and perform maintenance on SQL database as needed.
Research, plan, implement, and train users on software upgrades.
Provide back-up assistance with the Telepresence system and Exchange permissions.
Travel to each office on a monthly basis to provide training and end-user support.
Assist with providing after hours support according to the rotation with the IT Department.
Answer help desk calls and provide support for Firm software.
Perform other duties as needed.
A computer-related Bachelor’s degree.
A required minimum of three years’ work experience in the technology field.
Required experience in training and extensive knowledge of the desktop applications offered for training; both as an end-user and from a training perspective.
Excellent PC skills to include extensive knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
The ability to travel to other offices to provide training or support.
Knowledge of the legal field (preferred).
The ability to learn software and apply the knowledge to Firm needs.
Excellent writing, editing, communication, organization, and interpersonal relationship skills.
A desire to teach others coupled with demonstrated patience.
An aspiration to continuously evolve and learn new software features.
A self-starter mindset who is comfortable taking on significant responsibility--no matter how administrative or strategic it is.
