Burr & Forman LLP is seeking qualified candidates for a Database Administrator position in its Birmingham office. Competitive pay and benefit package. EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain firm databases.
Identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams, and document the process.
Write codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures.
Review and analyze systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support the firm's client/server software applications.
Design, develop, and implement software packages for the firm's website.
Troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Relevant training and experience is required. A bachelor's degree (preferably in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field) and at least two years of relevant experience is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Familiarity with client-server concepts.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Prior law firm experience is a plus.
