Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the Western United States, is currently looking to fill an IT Developer position. The developer will be part of a DevOps team. The position offers an opportunity for the developer that likes DevOps, enjoys developing software pipelines and understands software lifecycle management. You will have the opportunity to identify user needs and capabilities and make architecture recommendations in the area of testing and automation.
We are looking for smart, articulate IT persons who are excited about growing into the DevOps role. This will require hard work, creativity and tenacity. DevOps Engineers are responsible for the design and implementation of applications, build, release, deployment, and configuration activities. This person will be to balance across stake holder interests
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Research and acquire knowledge on tools and best practices.
Write configuration guideline to guide the user how to setup the system.
As a DevOps developer, you'll participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, which can include working with Developers, code reviews, QA, and subject matter experts to define and evaluate requirements
Assisting in the design, development, documentation, and deployment of software and Infrastructure
Supporting all pre-production environments
Candidate should be able to work in fast-paced multi-disciplinary environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, MIS or experience with other programming languages or equivalent training/work
Work experience of 2 years
Proven ability to write clear, concise documentation
Experience with SQL queries and any relational database systems
Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Understanding of the automate development process.
Engage with software development teams
Represent best practices for development, deployment, and security
Integrate automated testing
Evangelize the benefits of DevSecOps
Experience with cloud technologies such as AZURE, VMware, AWS
Knowledgeable of Operating System.
Knowledge of testing and test automation is a plus.
Experience writing production level code using a high-level programing language
Understanding of Agile Processes and Principles
A passion for all things DevOps
