Dykema, a leading national law firm, is searching for an experienced and dedicated Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead Information Technology (IT) from either our Chicago, Detroit, Bloomfield Hills, Dallas, San Antonio or Los Angeles office. The desired candidate is highly-analytical, professional, possesses excellent organizational and leadership skills, and has in-depth knowledge of the current and up-and-coming trends in the IT field. To meet the firm’s growth and performance objectives, the CIO will devise the firm’s IT strategy and ensure that all systems necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place. The CIO will develop and implement the technology strategic plan to create efficiencies, leverage and maximize technology solutions that provide high level, state-of the-art technical expertise, guidance and support for strategic business initiatives and operational services. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and at least 10 years’ experience in the Information Technology arena. Minimum 8 years’ management and strategic experience in this field.
Proven background directing installation and maintenance of professional services or corporate systems (workstations, phone systems, networks, printers, VPN, etc.), and related hardware and software.
Experience with leading and implementing a paperless environment in a professional services firm preferred.
Experience with professional services operations and related online and web-based systems preferred.
Successful history of hiring, leading and developing technical teams.
Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery systems to ensure 24/7 operations of both corporate and field IT systems and operations.
Demonstrated proficiency managing the enforcement of all IT security standards and policies, which includes networks, systems, Internet, email, telephony, and all developing technologies.
Demonstrated proficiency with the full MS Office Suite and related operating systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong Management Skills
Travel to other office required.
