Akerman LLP, a leading U.S. law firm, is seeking an iManage Systems Analyst for its National Administrative Group, located in Maitland, Florida.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA: Significant experience administering iManage Desksite client (9.3.6), iManage DMS server (9.5 R2), MS SQL (2012) servers supporting iManage, the related document repositories, and the IDOL indexers. Experience supporting integration of iManage Desksite 9.3.6 with Office 365 Pro Plus. Experience leading or participating in a substantive role during a conversion or upgrade to iManage is highly preferred.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: The analyst should have substantial knowledge of and experience with: iManage; strong knowledge of MS SQL; functional understanding of law firm business processes including intake, onboarding and off boarding, experience with troubleshooting, good technical writing, documentation and application installation and configuration experience are also desired. Five (5) or more years' experience within an IT department working in an IT support role. Three (3) or more years of hands-on iManage administration functions. Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in a large law firm setting of similar or greater size.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the primary IT resource for the iManage DMS environment. Administers the IManage DMS systems and its closely related third party products in production, test and development environments; responsible for the software platform full life cycle, including the implementation, operation, and maintenance of IManage and its related financial software systems. The analyst will stay informed of all of the best practices for managing and implementing the systems assigned to him/her. To this end, s/he will participate in applicable professional organizations; subscribe to industry literature; attend seminars and other informational events; and, as appropriate obtain technical certifications to enhance his or her credentials and knowledge. Experience and certifications with iManage Work 10 and RAVN strongly preferred.
POLICIES, STANDARDS AND PROTOCOLS: The SA will quickly become knowledgeable about the Firm’s technology systems, its legal practices and support services areas, its client requirements and its existing policies and procedures.
IMPLEMENTATION: The SA will work closely with the vendor community and IT staff to aid in the design, build, configuration, testing, deployment, training, operations and maintenance of the Firm's DMS software. To that end, s/he will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate processes are in place for the testing and deployment of the core IManage systems, and any related applications including ongoing patching, updates and similar maintenance efforts.
OTHER DUTIES: The SA will serve as the primary internal and external contact supporting the document management systems in the Firm. To this end, s/he will often interact directly with a variety of employees including attorneys, partners and senior leadership, other staff at all levels, and the related vendor and support community; S/he will demonstrate the ability to be tactful and effective in responding to requests from all levels of the firm; will work to enhance the skills of other team members and the knowledge of end users; and, will assist with the development of training programs to aid in the effective use of the IManage platform and related systems. The SA will, from time to time, perform such other duties as are necessary to ensure the timely and efficient performance of the hardware and certain software functions of the Firm. The ability to travel as needed periodically is expected.
