A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
As our Director of Information Technology, you are responsible for maintaining, delivering, and defining our IT services, strategies, and capabilities across our law firm. You develop and support our current network infrastructure, security, and all technical services. Always proactive, you ensure the smooth delivery and operation of our systems and services by vigilantly monitoring and actively maintaining them. You and your team have a patient, happy-to-help attitude that makes working with you a pleasure.
Under your excellent direction, guidance, and managerial support, the IT team excels. As a hands-on leader, you assist with upgrades, installs, maintenance, and help desk support for hardware and software. Some of the software systems that your team gets to manage and support include Intuit ProSeries tax software, Sage FAS accounting software, Script Logic software, SQL database systems, Open Text Document management (aka Hummingbird, Docs Open), MS Office products, and Mitel VOIP telephone systems.
As a strategic leader, you coordinate projects, budget development, and long-term planning. You analyze new projects and research the latest IT trends to keep us as effective and up-to-date as possible. You also meet with our technology steering committee on a regular basis to report on current conditions, discuss future projects, request funding, and participate in committee feedback. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
8+ years of experience within the IT field
Proven success in a similar role
Experience in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
Experience with the most current technologies and products used in legal and business environments
Sound understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and telecommunications systems
Ability to control and manage the IT budget
Strong leadership and organizational skills
5+ years of experience within a large law firm is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Are you able to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively?
