Akerman LLP, a leading U.S. law firm, is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst for its National Information Technology Department in Maitland, FL.
Significant experience administering MS SQL Server supporting Elite or Elite 3E (preferred) or a similar financial system such as Aderant Expert is required.
Experience with related financial services applications such as Chrome River, Design Gallery, Paperless Proforma, and good understanding of law firm financial processes is preferred.
Experience leading, or participating in a substantive technical role during a financial systems conversion or upgrade is also preferred.
Possess a functional understanding of law firm business processes including intake, alternative fee arrangements, billing, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and closing is preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with BizTalk and Elite 3 IDE are strong pluses.
Experience with troubleshooting, good technical writing, documentation and application installation and configuration experience are also desired.
Experience with report development is preferred, particularly those reporting capabilities that are native to Elite 3E, but also SSRS.
Serve as the primary IT resource on the Elite 3E implementation team.
Install, configure and maintain the Elite financial software and its closely related third party products in production, test and development environments.
Manage SQL Server databases.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
Install and configure financial services applications.
Develop various reports using Elite reporting features and SSRS.
Monitor system's health and performance.
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
Provide suggestions for solutions.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Demonstrate excellent multi-tasking abilities, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
