Venable is seeking a Learning Technologies Specialist (Trainer) to join the Professional Development and Training team in our Los Angeles, CA office. This person will be responsible for conducting computer and telephone systems training programs to include Instructor-Led courses and new hire orientation training.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for... •Conducting instructor-led training and updating course material as needed •Design and develop systems training course curriculum and reference materials •Act as subject matter expert in working with the eLearning development team to assist in the creation of outlines, storyboards and scripts for eLearning •Acting as training lead for assigned projects, working with the IT Department and other subject matter experts during the release of new or upgraded software to design and develop training curriculum. •Scheduling systems training classes and tracking enrollment/attendance via the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) •Following up on systems training requests: oWorking with users to address systems questions oDocumenting resolution of requests into IT ticketing system oScheduling and conducting one-on-one systems training sessions
The successful candidate will demonstrate... •A minimum of five years’ systems training experience in a classroom setting •A thorough understanding of MS Office 2016 with advanced skills in Microsoft Word and intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint preferred •Experience in content management software and PDF Editing tools preferred •An aptitude to read, analyze and interpret professional journals and technical procedures •Ability to apply ADDIE model of design and development; create and maintain training guides and reference materials for software applications •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives •Ability to travel to firm offices
Physical Requirements •May require standing to conduct training for 40 percent of work time
