The Voice Communications Senior Analyst is responsible for managing, planning, and monitoring the Firms telephony environment. This includes providing second and third level support in resolving voice issues. This position serves as a technical subject matter expert in one or more IT areas.
Manage and Maintain the Firm’s IP telephony infrastructure including backend servers, host hardware, voice gateways, and endpoints.
Provide engineering services for IP telephony upgrades and new feature additions
Monitors proactively the network for problem resolution, including assisting other members of IS in resolving network related problems
Provides expertise in multiple technologies used by IS
Leads projects to upgrade the network including planning, testing and implementation.
Leads peer reviews
Mentors less experienced co-workers
Communicates with vendors
Manage security of IP telephony systems and endpoints
Prepares and maintains network related documentation
Follows department policies and procedures, including change management procedures
Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested
Essential Job Specifications/Qualifications

Provides after hours on-call support on a rotational basis
Demonstrated expertise in both data and voice communications
Subject Matter Expert of network operating systems and LAN / WAN protocols
Proven basic project management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing to include documentation skills
Advanced knowledge of Cisco Voice hardware and operating systems
Advanced knowledge of interior and external routing protocols and configuration, including EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, iBGP, and BGP
Advanced knowledge of system monitoring systems and alerting and troubleshooting processes
Advanced knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, Unity Voicemail, and Cisco Call Center systems
Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times scheduled
Minimal travel is required for this position.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent expereince
Minimum five (5) years experience in voice and/or data communications in a large LAN/WAN environment
Extensive knowledge or certifications in communication protocols
