This position can be located in any Lathrop GPM office: Kansas City, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, Washington D.C., Denver, St. Louis, Boulder, Jefferson City, St. Cloud or Overland Park.
This position is responsible for developing, advancing and managing the Firm’s information security systems, including developing and delivering information systems security standards, best practices, and a secure architecture to ensure information system security across the enterprise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the coordination of the Firm’s technology risk management and information security
Responsible for identification of risk, solution implementation, oversight and application of security architecture and emerging technologies, making recommendations to Firm management as appropriate
Responsible for development and documentation of Firm information security policies, standards and practices for approval by Firm management
Responsible for development, implementation and management of security monitoring processes
Responsible for coordinating security incident responses and monitoring and assessing security events
Coordinates with appropriate IT groups, administrative departments, Firm management and outside vendors concerning resolution of high level technology security issues
Responsible for performance of risk analysis and development of processes and procedures designed to constitute basis of Firm disaster recovery and business continuity program
Reviews information security requirements in client outside counsel guidelines, helps ensure compliance with the requirements, and assists in the negotiation of the requirements where appropriate
Interfaces with clients for security audits and reviews and implements and manages the program for management thereof.
Manages 3rd party risk management program
Participates as a member of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and helps define the risk management strategy of the firm as it pertains to information security.
Assists in the review and management of cyber risk insurance policies purchased by the firm.
Assists in the completion of other audits and RFP responses as they arise.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
College degree in relevant field and 5 -10 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong management and problem-solving skills
Ability to define a project and establish relative priorities among competing and demanding deliverables
Ability to form strong and trusted relationships with attorneys and staff and to be recognized as a credible resource
Strong oral and written communication skills with business professionals, attorneys, and staff
Skilled at creative conflict resolution
Skilled at organizing resources and establishing priorities
Ability to be flexible and shift from different projects as demands require
Strategic thinker, with the ability to craft novel solutions that are responsive to client and attorney needs
Skilled in establishing and working within a budget
Superior client service orientation
Ability to be flexible and work independently with limited or no supervision
CISSP and CISM certification preferred
Experience with legal or other financial or professional services industries a plus
