Position Summary:

The Manager of Desktop Applications is responsible for managing the operations of the Desktop Applications team within the Applications Management group. The team manages, updates, analyzes, evaluates, configures, tests, implements, distributes and supports Desktop Operating System and front-end applications on Windows, Citrix and other virtual environments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manages and evaluates Application Specialists on the Desktop Applications team
• Manages, supports and maintains applications in both the desktop and Citrix environments
• Troubleshoots and provides expert level support for applications
• Devises and executes innovative approaches to resolve problems
• Prepares project plans and timetables for defined projects and major operational tasks
• Prioritizes team resources to meet objectives
• Oversees software license compliance
• Audits for and report on software license compliance
• Analyzes software to determine effectiveness and applicability to the firm’s desktop environment
• Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with attorneys, staff and vendors
• Maintains effective change control on applications and operating system changes
• Works with the Director of Applications Management to define and deliver on quarterly goals
