Environment, energy, natural resources, and real estate specialty law firm with a national practice seeks a full-time Associate with 1 to 5 years of California litigation experience, including experience in California state courts, for its Lafayette office location. The California associate position will be focused in the areas of federal and state environmental litigation, environmental regulatory actions, judicial challenges to agency decisions, environmental aspects of transactions and policyholder insurance coverage. The candidate will have an opportunity to work on environmental and insurance coverage matters as part of a growing litigation practice. Our office is located within walking distance from BART. Position is remote to start, subject to state and local COVID-19 guidance.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications, however, we are willing to consider any relevant experience:
Litigation experience, including preparation of pleadings, substantive motions, depositions and e-discovery;
Excellent legal research, writing, verbal communication and analytical skills;
Experience with document management databases (i.e., Concordance, Relativity);
Exceptional attention to detail;
Strong computer skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and,
Ability to travel, when travel safely resumes.
CA Bar required
