The Hartford office of Robinson & Cole LLP, an AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a full-time Training and Development Specialist to work in our IT Department.
This position is responsible for internal training programs for the firm’s lawyers and staff and works collaboratively with the IT Department, Professional Development Committee, Department Managers and Section & Practice Group leadership to align training initiatives with firm goals. Some of the duties include assisting with coordinating internal presentations by collaborating with trainers/presenters/subject matter experts on developing content; sending out appropriate materials and setting up appropriate facilities as necessary; maintaining viLMS, the firm’s internal Learning Management System, including the input and maintenance of course information, monitoring registrations, running needed reports and issuing certificates of completion, delivering onboarding and general user software training to staff and attorneys both in-person and remotely; and assisting with the creation of training programs and materials for end users, including handouts, learning videos, evaluations, and other appropriate resources.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
· A minimum of 2-4 years of training or instructional design experience as well as proficiency and training experience in Microsoft Office applications
· Experience with e-Learning creation, document management system (iManage / Matter Centricity), InterAction or similar CRM system, and Aderant or similar billing and timekeeping software is highly preferred
· Ability to travel is required
· Prior experience in the legal-industry is preferred
