General Summary:
This position provides administrative support to the attorneys and staff of a dynamic branch office of a highly prestigious national corporate litigation law firm. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, general administrative duties such as word processing, printing, scheduling, travel arrangements, and expense report management. The position requires at least 1 year of experience in a law firm, preferably with experience in corporate or litigation practice, flexibility in availability (overtime may be required), dependability, strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional, team-oriented work ethic.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to the Wilmington Office Director.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for attorneys and staff.
- Screen telephone calls, mail, and visitors; maintain electronic notes to brief attorneys on requests, inquiries, and status of communications.
- Prepare letters, memos, and other documents.
- Prepare legal documents, including formatting, editing, proofreading, copying, and distribution.
- Maintain confidential client and firm files.
- Coordinate with Travel Services on behalf of attorneys and prepare itineraries.
- Prepare and maintain expense reports.
- Receive and update various printed library materials.
- E-file in Delaware State Courts (Chancery, Superior, Supreme).
Job Specifications:
- Hours – 9:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a law firm, preferably with experience in corporate or litigation practice.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; prior experience with iManage helpful.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with specific focus on detail and customer service.

- Able to manage with professionalism multiple projects in a deadline driven environment;
- Able to act with a sense of urgency when necessary;
- Willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays when requested, potentially on short notice;
- Able to cultivate and sustain professional working relationships with attorneys and staff;
- Able to effectively interact with all levels of firm personnel, in all Paul, Weiss offices, as well as with outside counsel, clients, and vendors.
