Organizational Overview The South Carolina Bar (the “SCB” ”) is a vibrant organization dedicated to serving the legal profession and the public interest, furthering public understanding of the law and the legal system, promoting access to justice, and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the South Carolina legal community. Established by the South Carolina Supreme Court, the SCB's mission is to serve its nearly 18,000 members, three-quarters of whom live in South Carolina, through collaboration, the sharing of information, and by providing quality education to improve South Carolina’s legal profession and the administration of justice. This includes continuing legal education, practice management, and wellness programming.
