Neal, Gerber & Eisinberg is a mid-sized Chicago law firm looking for a Network Administrator for their Information Technology department.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages enterprise applications such as: Active Directory, Netwrix Auditor & Password Manager, HighQ Collaborate, MobileIron, MS Teams, Hybrid Exchange, Mimecast, and various security tools • Manages backup and recovery, server compute and storage, and our VMware Horizon environment • Assists with our physical network infrastructure and wi-fi network • Troubleshooting and installation of updates and upgrades to a variety of managed systems • Provides third level of support for escalated incidents from the Help Desk • Works closely with peers in the deployment of Microsoft updates, third-party patching, application and operating system deployments for the NGE VDI environment • Participates in standard image development, management, QA testing, and application deployment • Maintains quarterly roll-up of task sequences to include all updates, upgrades, patches and bug fixes deployed • Assists with Disaster Recovery operation planning • Manages the workstation and server configuration of Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Objects • Trains and supports users on specialized software products • Uses batch files and PowerShell scripts to expedite daily/weekly/monthly administration tasks • Creates knowledge base articles for Help Desk Team • Manages vendors, including negotiating and reviewing contracts • Makes recommendations to the Systems Manager and Director of IT for procedure and technology changes that would improve existing communications technology • Works on special projects as assigned by the Systems Manager and Director of IT
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credentials required • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing third level technical support - law firm environment preferred • Experience working with Active Directory and Group Policies within Windows 10 • Experience working with data center infrastructure, i.e. Server compute, storage appliances, network switches • Experience using SCCM for system deployments, updates and upgrades and application deployment • Knowledge with collaboration related software • Hands-on experience with remote access and mobile device management solutions including Cisco AnyConnect and MobileIron • Must have strong customer support and strong communication skills
