Wiley, a leading Washington, DC law firm, is seeking a Financial Systems Administrator to join its Information Technology team. Under the direction of the Enterprise Applications Manager, the Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for the oversight and administration of the firm’s financial systems and serves as a subject matter expert and provides technical direction and leadership regarding the development and support of all financial systems and products between the Information Technology and Accounting and Finance Departments. The Financial Systems Administrator is also responsible for the implementation, migration, integration, upgrade and/or testing of any financial system or product within the firm’s financial ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage, maintain, and implement all financial systems software and related third party products in production, test and development environments
Serve as a subject matter expert and financial systems product specialist and build relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure that the services and solutions provided meet existing and future firm business needs
Understand and leverage third-party APIs, components and like system integrations
Develop and maintain an understanding of all firm business systems and collaborate with internal Enterprise Applications team members to ensure complete and accurate reporting and data alignment
Implement and maintain online financial reporting systems, dashboards and pricing and modeling tools
Create summary and detail level reports for management and prepare ad hoc reporting using SQL, SSRS, Power BI or similar software
Manage and maintain technical requirements and setup for financial systems to include updates, backups, and improvements
Create complex reports and queries with the ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data
Support complex applications to extract, transform, and load data
Develop logical and physical data flow models for ETL applications
Prepare technical documentation for system implementations
Meet the department’s expectations to retrieve, read and/or respond to firm and client-related e-mail messages during and outside of core business and scheduled work hours by connecting a personal mobile device (smartphone or tablet with a data plan) to the firm’s network
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Microsoft certifications a plus.
Minimum ten (10) plus years of related professional experience
Five (5) plus years of experience administering legal financial systems, such as Elite or Aderant Expert
Experience with financial system migrations including applications such as Chrome River, Billblast, Prebill Manager or Paperless Proforma required
Advanced proficiency in finance data processing and workflows
Advanced proficiency in relational database design, T-SQL query, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and Power BI
Broad technical skills with hands-on knowledge in database development, intranet development and application support
Strong desktop and application troubleshooting skills essential

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position operates in a professional office environment which is usually quiet to moderate
Position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
Position requires that the employee be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is primarily a sedentary position. However, some duties and responsibilities may require the employee to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, occasionally move about to access office equipment, file cabinets, etc.
May require employee to carry or lift items weighing up to 20 pounds
