The Application Services Manager leads a team of five IT Specialists. In this role, you oversee the maintenance and strategic planning of all existing and future commercial off the shelf (COTS) applications such as the Document Management System, Microsoft Office, the Numbering/Styles/Template Management system, the Signature Management application and others.
Responsibilities
Schedule and oversee projects assigned to application services members.
Direct, oversee and assist with the selection, implementation and installation of applications used by the organization.
Provide guidance, recommendations and consultation on applications and related services to other departments, which may include reviewing system documentation, feasibility, design, testing and implementation.
Coordinate the resources needed to meet client and/or business objectives related to software applications.
Assess hardware/software systems, applications and processes with the larger IT and firm strategy in mind.
Work with stake holders and a Project Manager as required to determine timelines, resources and dependencies.
Monitor project progress and take action as required to ensure that timeframes are met.
Work closely with attorneys and other non-IT administrative personnel.
Develop and authenticate IT business continuity plans relevant to applications owned by the Applications team.
Develop and adhere to departmental budget.
Ensure compliance with applicable company, state and federal laws, statutes and regulations, as appropriate.
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely, objective and constructive.
Handle discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
