The Director of Enterprise and Member Technology provides leadership and direction for ILTA’s technology ecosystem and is responsible for the successful delivery of technology solutions that support organizational goals and enhance the member experience. This role partners with senior leadership to translate business needs into secure, scalable systems, oversees enterprise platforms and vendor performance, and ensures technology initiatives are delivered on time and with measurable value. The Director drives continuous improvement across internal and member-facing technologies while guiding long-term planning, modernization efforts, and cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency, reliability, and member and stakeholder satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities:
Identifies and integrates new technologies for the association, both internal (staff) and external (member-facing).
Effectively selects, implements, and provides ongoing support of the association's information technology processes and systems.
Troubleshoots issues to identify root causes and determine next steps.
Manages the SDLC end-to-end.
Establishes and builds relationships with vendors in conjunction with the implementation of internal and external technologies. Manages capacity planning and schedules vendor negotiations related to IT.
Anticipates future technology needs and proactively identifies solutions.
Procure and deploy new technologies.
Proactively maintains a lean applications architecture.
Owns the myILTA Strategic Technology Initiative.
Internal Relations:
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Maintains close alignment with the Senior Director of Administration and the technology department team members.
Maintains relationships with Senior Leadership Team members to ensure their functions’ technology needs are represented.
External Relations:
Active member of the ILTA Technology Committee. Potential to assume managing the Technology Committee after one year.
Maintains constructive relationships with ILTA members and business partners of ILTA to ensure maximum value for their experience.
Represents the organization externally, as necessary, particularly with contracted business partners.
Effectively communicates ILTA’s technology direction with all constituents.
Requirements:
Proven experience delivering IT projects.
Proven experience working with IT service providers.
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, data integration, APIs, security principles, SDLC, databases, and data storage systems.
Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
Ability to travel to ILTA’s annual conference (ILTACON).
