The estimated base salary range for this position is $200k to $250k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.

The Associate Director, Application Development role is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust enterprise applications. The role combines hands-on development with team leadership growing our software and SQL group through the implementation of custom software solutions including SharePoint’s application components. They must be an expert in SDLC, source code control and change management. They will guide and assist on issues related to the architecture, design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
Provide and execute strategic direction to the current and future development organization
Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
Evaluate new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
Experience in analysis and implementation of cloud and SaaS applications including but not limited to license procurement negotiations, large scale migrations
Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration (including Saas solutions) to determine its intended functionality.
Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
Experience in digital transformation life cycle and mobile first is a plus
SQL Server Expert along with the integration with software solutions
Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
Spearhead the implementation of industry leading processes, procedures and tools to drive continual improvement
Knowledge of Solution Architecture and basics of Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics is a plus
Experience in working with vendors on pricing and contract negotiations, onshore/offshore model, managed services
Experience with the latest web frameworks
Minimum of 10 years managing a development team
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Microsoft heavy technology environment, including 5 years of practical professional experience in software development
Experienced with designing, implementing and maintaining SharePoint environments
Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Excellent organization, communication and analytical skills
