This full-time position is responsible for performing intake and assessing matters for potential clients, identifying avenues to obtain or preserve lawful status and/or pursue relief from removal, including representation of noncitizens with criminal convictions and detained noncitizens, as well as developing and implementing strategies to protect and defend noncitizens before USCIS, DOS, and litigation at the immigration courts, BIA and federal courts. Additionally, depending on experience, the position may involve community outreach, developing and presenting materials on immigration-related topics, including legal education, advocacy and policy reform. The position also involves training and supervising legal and administrative staff, as necessary.
