TheDesktop & Applications Engineer Analyst is the subject matter expert on all firm-wide desktop applications and will serve as the administrator for the firm’s iManage Work 10 Document Management System (DMS). The individual will have oversight of the firm’s Help Desk and is responsible for supporting the Windows 10 desktop/laptop and applications, including, designing desktop images, application deployments and integrations relating to the desktop image in a Citrix (VDI) environment. This position is also responsible for quality control of applications prior to their release into the production environment. The individual will partner with other IT personnel to resolve recurring issues and ensure a stable, functional and technically up-to-date environment. This position will assist with providing direction for the Firm’s end-user desktop environment and related initiatives that will continuously improve the end user experience.
Lead and drive continuous improvement opportunities in end user experience.
Daily oversight of the firm’s internal and outsourced help desk.
Day-to-day management and administration of desktop activities/applications and external consultants.
Assess upcoming technologies and recommend innovative use of new features and technologies with the objective of enhancing end user experience.
A minimum five years of experience in software integration, implementation, support and troubleshooting desktop applications in a Citrix VDI environment.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
Possesses and demonstrates exemplary customer service skills, and excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership, team building, project management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Strong documentation and procedural skills.
Must be self-motivated and work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to work occasional flexible hours including occasional weekend work.
Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services industry.
Telecommuting is allowed. Employer will assist with relocation costs.
