The Legal Technology Training & Communication Coordinator (“LTTCC”) advances a training and communications strategy that will focus on the broad adoption of legal technology, resources and KM applications. The LTTCC along with other internal service teams and key stakeholders will support a training curriculum that aligns with practice group strategies. The LTTCC promotes and markets practice and knowledge management technologies through the use of informational sessions, practice group presentations, instructional material and other marketing channels. The LTTCC will also measure and report on the success of training programs and the extent of adoption.
Work closely with Knowledge Management Attorneys, Research Analysts, the Practice & Client Solutions team and other key stakeholders across the firm to assess and address knowledge gaps and develop a training curriculum that targets lawyer needs by practice group and class year.
Collaborate with Knowledge & Innovation team members to create new instructional programs reflective of the needs of legal personnel including the drafting of engaging educational materials, videos, test scripts, user guides and announcements.
Lead or participate in leading training courses or product demonstrations in group settings and one-on-one as required, including vendor-led programs.
Develop and employ an array of compelling training methods to drive lawyer engagement such as “how to videos” , gamification or other interactive and dynamic programs to ensure an optimal training experience.
Ensure that training materials and user guides are continuously updated to reflect product upgrades and changes and are tailored to appropriate audience.
Regularly promote resources, product enhancements and success stories by drafting enticing newsletters and communications via other creative channels.
Conduct continuous attorney outreach to share critical information regarding best practices, training tips and techniques as well as to gather feedback to improve the training experience for users.
Monitor usage metrics to assess user engagement and outcomes and report on the impact of educational sessions or outreach efforts.
Regularly provide reporting to senior management regarding program development, training objectives or goals, assessments of anticipated training needs or other such information.
Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree a minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of legal technology training.
Track record of developing effective training programs.
Significant knowledge of practices and emerging developments/trends in legal and practice tool technology.
Strong technical/computer skills and proficiency with applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Remote meeting apps and SharePoint.
Proven past experience learning new and modified legal technology tools, systems and procedures quickly and to teach these concepts to others.
Upper margin written, verbal, customer service, interpersonal and presentation skills
Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, on the phone and in writing.
Record of delivering excellent results with pressures of volume, time constraints, and customer service expectations.
Work Requirements: Can be remote. Hours/schedule. Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet the needs of the business. Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
